Student Code of Conduct

As an NCB Institute learner, you agree to uphold the following standards throughout your studies:

  • Participate respectfully and responsibly in all learning activities.
  • Observe academic integrity in all assessments and examinations.
  • Communicate professionally with trainers and peers at all times.
Violations may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from the course.

Attendance & Assessment Policy

Regular attendance and timely submission of assignments and exams are essential components of your programme. Absence without prior notice may affect your eligibility to sit assessments.

Specific attendance requirements and submission deadlines will be communicated in full before your course commences.

Support & Guidance Policy

We are committed to supporting every learner throughout their journey with NCB Institute. Our support offering includes:

  • Pre-course guidance and orientation to prepare you before you begin.
  • Study materials and mock assessments to build your confidence.
  • Responsive academic support from qualified trainers throughout your studies.

Complaints & Appeals Policy

Learners have the right to raise concerns about course delivery, assessments, or any aspect of our services.

All complaints are handled with full confidentiality, impartiality, and a commitment to fair and timely resolution. Details of how to submit a complaint or appeal will be provided at enrolment.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

General principles

NCB Institute follows a fair and transparent refund process aligned with NEBOSH’s official policy and best industry practice.

  • Requests must be submitted in writing or via the official refund form with supporting documentation.
  • Requests are evaluated based on timing, course status, and compliance with NEBOSH/awarding body policies.
Course fee refunds
  • Before course commencement — Participants may cancel and request a refund, subject to administrative processing charges communicated at enrolment.
  • After course start — Refunds are considered case-by-case; partial or no refund may apply depending on attendance and administrative costs.
NEBOSH examination fees
  • Up to 70% of exam registration fees may be refunded under qualifying circumstances, when requested within one calendar month of the exam date with valid evidence. Refunds are processed by NEBOSH and returned via NCB Institute.
  • Fees cannot be transferred to another sitting. Learners who fail to attend must re-register at full fee.
Processing timeline
Approved refunds are typically processed within 30 working days from receipt of a valid and complete request, subject to NEBOSH’s own procedures.

Non-refundable fees

Administrative charges, course materials already issued, or late cancellations may not be refundable, as detailed in the enrolment terms.

Documentation required
  • Proof of payment.
  • Reason for cancellation or withdrawal.
  • Supporting documentation such as medical certificates or exam absence evidence.
